Hello! If you're reading this, you've likely been brought here by curiosity. It might be from an inclination to see Montana's beauty for the first time or to return to a familiar area for more discovery. Whether you're anticipating your initial trek into the Rockies or you're a seasoned veteran, all are welcome and encouraged to come explore. At North Sky, we believe every journey through Big Sky country should feel meaningful, grounded, and scratch the itch of adventure. Whether you join us for weekend snowshoe tours or multi-day adventures deep into the Northern Rockies, our goal is simple: to connect you with the land, the history, and the quiet magic that makes Montana unlike anywhere else.
Who We Are
North Sky Adventures was founded on a love for Montana’s open spaces, rugged peaks, wildlife, and the stories woven through every valley and trail. As a locally owned and guide-operated company based in Missoula, we bring together professional training, naturalist knowledge, and a deep respect for the places we explore.
We’re more than guides—we’re interpreters and storytellers, stewards of the landscape, and above all a group of friends who are fortunate enough to call Western Montana home. Our trips are designed to help guests slow down, look closer, and walk away with a sense of connection that lasts long after the adventure ends.

North Sky Adventures provides a range of guided experiences for all ability levels and interests, including:

Our Values & Philosophy
At the heart of North Sky Adventures is a commitment to:
• Stewardship: We follow Leave No Trace principles, support conservation partners, and design our trips to minimize impact while fostering appreciation for the natural world.
• Interpretation & Storytelling: The places we explore are layered with meaning and history. We share the science, the culture, and the stories that bring the terrain to life.
• Safety & Professionalism: From route planning to emergency preparedness, we prioritize guest safety at every step.
• Connection: Great trips happen when people feel welcome, comfortable, and engaged. We strive to create an atmosphere where guests feel part of something bigger than the tour itself.
